Building an infinity floor might look complicated, but the concept is surprisingly simple once broken down into layers.
The foundation starts with a reflective base — typically a mirror or mirrored panel. This is what creates the depth illusion. Around the edges of this base, LED strips are installed facing inward, forming the light source that will be reflected repeatedly.
On top of this, a transparent or semi-transparent layer such as acrylic or tempered glass is added. This top layer allows light to pass through while also reflecting it back downwards, completing the infinity effect.
The quality of your lighting setup makes a huge difference here. Even spacing, consistent brightness, and smooth diffusion all contribute to how “deep” and clean the illusion looks. Addressable RGB lighting adds another level, letting you create motion effects, colour waves, and reactive patterns.
Once assembled and powered, the result is a seamless glowing floor that looks far more complex than it actually is.
